It is our intention to re-do the combat system for next year. The current campaign season will be under the old system. The problem is that as numbers increase, the battles are more weighted toward the larger army owing to the large numbers of dice averaging up the numbers. Therefore it is near impossible to lose or suffer bad luck when you have a large army.
My intention is to make the number of dice much smaller, and the size of each die larger, so each roll is far more weighted to overall success. In addition, now that we have bob on board, it is likely that battles will be broken up into different phases with multiple rolls.

If your gladiators won anything at the Ludi, make sure to note it in the appropriate thread in your character forum. I will only be using the information I can cross reference, so if you fail to note victories they simply won't receive the roll bonus as per the rules. Thanks!

All who submitted unskilled gladiators to the final battle (that is to say any gladiators that did not participate in the formal tournament) must subtract half of the number submitted, the rest live and can be used another day.
