The motion passes. Our next topic of discussion is on founding Colonia. With the newly conquered lands being recently added, we have vast potential for more cities to be founded throughout the Republic. One such location I propose is at Genua, to signify our cemented return to the region. As well, with the Via Cassia currently under construction, I suggest we found colonia along the road to make the most of it. I recall last year Senator Silvius Pastor presented a brochure for further Colonia to be founded there, so I would like to follow up on that, and propose a second colonia at Bononia.

These would be sized at 1,500 people per colonia, and so would cost 945,000 Denarii in total for the two. I will allow debate on this matter now.

IC: Conscript fathers,

I'd like to remind everyone that examination have been done for a potential colonia site to be formed in northwestern Sardinia near the gulf of Asinara to help trade there and to give another port for our growing and thriving trade between Italia and Hispania. Given the relative calm in Sardinia, it might be prudent to set it up in the near future.
