The Measure passes broadly. All senators are afforded the opportunity to lay any unfinished business before the Senate and discuss any topic they wish, if it pertains to this body.

Conscript Fathers,
I do have something I wish to bring up. Last session we had a proposal by senator Aurelius Cotta to authorize 100,000 denarii for festivals honouring the gods but we didn't end up passing any funding for the festivals. I think it would be prudent to authorize Festival funding for this year before we end this current session.

Allectus stands once called upon by the Princeps Senatus
Conscript Fathers,
I agree with Senator Caesonius Tacitus on the need to properly fund the games and festivals in honor of the gods. Given the situation on the fringes of our Republic, any and all veneration towards the gods to give us their blessings is needed to ensure victory for Rome and her people. 100,000 denarii seems like an adequate amount to put towards the festivities with the Aediles providing additional funding as needed to make up the difference.
We commend Senator Caesonius Tacitus for bringing this to the forefront.
Allectus would sit down once he was finished speaking.

Aurelius Cotta’s designated proxy Senator indicates his approval by nodding but says nothing else.
He is a Consul of Rome
Re: Curia Session III 196 B.C.
The Consul moves to allocate 100,000 Denarii to the Aediles for the running of games for the year. All in favor?
