Romans! Citizens and allies of Rome! As every year, there shall be held games to honor Apollo! We therefore expect the best of the town to present gladiators for spectacular bloodsports that shall no doubt honor the gods! But beware, if too few gladiators are entered, there will be no games held, a great dishonor upon all of Rome, and surely an omen of terrible things to come. The people of Rome demand games, and you must heed this demand!

Enter now, or be forever shamed!

Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo donates an astounding 25,000 Denarii for the grateful people of Rome, who profusely prostrate themselves before such awesome generosity. The bread shall flow like wine, and the wine shall flow like a rainstorm.

OOC: I will be handing out the requisite dignitas after the games

And even more fantastic news from the citizens of Rome! The generous and magnanimous Gaius Claudius Nero has sponsored an additional chariot racing game! What's more, he has set forward a 20,000 Denarii cash prize for the winner from his own coffers! Surely these will be the most intense and interesting chariot races that Rome has seen in decades!
