Conflict of Orders

Romans wishing to declare themselves candidate for the office of Consul must personally present themselves for candidacy, and must be personally present in Rome for the election. You cannot be leading a campaign, and you cannot be in the provinces if you want to stand for election unless the Senate grants you a very very rare and hard to get exemption allowing an in-absentia election. You must enter Rome as a private citizen to stand for election.

The date of the election is set for July 15. If you are standing for election to the Consulship, post such as a reply here.

Proculus Lucius Regulus announces his candidacy for the position of the patrician Consul.

Marcus Aurelius Cotta, upon re-entering Rome from his tour of Magna Graecia, announces his candidacy for Plebeian Consul.

The Consul Marcus Claudius Marcellus formally endorses Aurelius Cotta for Consul.

The Censor, Gaius Cassius Vecellinus, formally endorses Aurelius Cotta for Consul.

The Consul Amulius Valerius Marius formally endorses Aurelius Cotta for Consul by proxy.

Propraetor Domitius Corbulo of Hispania Ulterior formally endorses Decius Bellicus for Consul by proxy.

Propraetor Furius Pavo endorses Decius Bellicus and Lucius Regulus for the positions of Consul.

Propraetor Hostus Lucretius Tricipitinus formally endorses Decius Bellicus for Consul by proxy.
