Maps of City and Nation

1.) Choose your name. See here for naming conventions

2.) DO NOT pick estates, or pick traits here in public. These are private things you will pick in your forum when I make that.

3.) Write a quick backstory. Can be as little as a sentence or longer. Something that lets people know the general specifics of your character. Remember people do not know your exact traits, but should have some understanding of who you are playing as.

4.) This is a dog eat dog world. There are no teams or groups. Each player is head of his family. If you want to form groups or allies, you have to do that in game. What clan name you choose may or may not have some impact, consider it before picking randomly.

5.) Game will start whenever I feel that we have enough people signed up and all the forums are created. Sometime in the next week, hopefully.

Amulius Valerius Marius

From a long line of great military men Amulius seems destined for greatness and debauchery. Of course we paid for those omens. Did you think we'd leave it to chance?

by Postumus Caesonius Tacitus
Postumus Caesonius Tacitus

A relatively quiet man who has come to Rome. Nevertheless, he intends to grow his family fortunes; whether that's through finances, governance, or military is of little importance as long it benefits the Dignitas and Virtus of the family.

Make sure when you choose Patrician or Pleb that you have chosen a clan which traditionally was Pleb or Patrician.

by Gaius Cassius Vecellinus
Name: Gaius Cassius Vecellinus (p)
Backstory: This man heralds from a long and notorious line of public servants, one of which so notable that he was flung from the Tarpeian Rock for his ideas. While it remains to be seen if the apple fell far from the tree, his trek through the cursus honorum has shown himself to be at least sympathetic to the plight of the masses. (if out of altruism or self-interest is yet to be ascertained)
Traits: I read the first post.

by Hostus Lucretius Tricipitinus
Name: Hostus Lucretius Tricipitinus

Backstory: Hailing from an ancient and noble gens, somewhat distantly related to the Governor of Gallia Cisalpina, Spurius Lucretius - Hostus' family is one that has been spent rebuilding all that his father's father lost. Having been cursed by Bacchus, he drank and gambled away much of the family fortune and profitable lands. Hostus' father spent much of his life rebuilding the family name, the family fortune and securing a future for his children - the man was a gifted administrator, overseer and investor. Having recently passed peacefully from this world, he has left Hostus with an inheritance for him to continue rebuilding the family name. For his part, Hostus made sure to learn all he could from his father, including his knack for administration of the estates and prudent use of funds in the treasury.

by Marcus Silvius Pastor
Name: Marcus Silvius Pastor

Background: While Legend dictates that the Silvii were once rulers of nearby Alba Longa, they have neither sought nor enjoyed such position or its benefits in Rome. As the first Senator of his gens - of unspectacular bureaucrats and military men - of primary concern is the preservation of newfound status as opposed to immediate personal gain. Of course, such trivial pursuits shall and always will be secondary to the continued Glory and Honor of Rome through service to its people.
