This may have been the same game. Did you give Sudan a bunch of Centurion knockoffs to fight the Egyptians with?King Carol I wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 3:42 pmHoly shit I ran an Africa nation sim around that time. I was South Africa and ran it, almost every player immediately instituted extreme measures to fight or contain AIDS. I remember Egypt throwing a tantrum because their tanks were LEET and shouldn't take casualties.Agostino Depretis wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 3:09 pm One of the first nationsims I ever played was an Africa-centric one, in which everyone was limited to playing African nations. It was a contemporary-era one, so the game started in like 2003 or something. I was Sudan under Colonel Omar Bashir.
Something happened involving Hala'ib and Egypt invaded me. We fought a large tank battle that I obviously lost, being Sudan, and Khartorum was surrounded. Bashir committed suicide, but suddenly I found myself with the backing of several other powers, most notably South Africa, which began sending me those domestic Centurion knockoffs they made for a while, and the war continued in earnest, ending inconclusively when the round fell apart for unrelated reasons (which I do not recall).
It's been fifteen or sixteen years since then, but I'm back, Sudan. Did you miss me?

Plus let's be honest - if ISIS can figure out how to drive M1s around Mosul, I think Sudanese forces could figure out a modernized Centurion.

What a life. Long story short work and home combined have made this a week from hell. My activity is in a stranglehold but I'm trying to keep up my part in stuff.
