Name: Marcus Octavius Falco
Backstory: Hailing from the same Gens as Gaius Octavius, the military tribune who served in the Second Punic War and notably one of the few survivors of the Battle of Cannae, and Octavius Rufus, Marcus Octavius Falco was one well-travelled and educated in his youth. Foreign teachers from other civilized realms were provided and distant travels with his family provided a more worldly understanding. During his rise to Praetor and Senatorship, Marcus Octavius was noted for his statesmanship and focused efforts on driving Rome towards cooperation and becoming the premier civilization in the world. He now returns to Rome to help helm the Republic towards a prosperous era.

Gaius Quinctilius Varus

Patrician

A respected and law abiding Roman; at a young age Varus showed competence leading soldiers in minor campaigns, suppressing slave revolt and fighting against a barbarian tribe in the north. He miraculously survived being stabbed in the back by a former ally and though he swore off ever returning to the forums or public life, he has returned at the urging of his friends and family to serve the glory of Rome once more.

Name: Gaius Claudius Nero

A man that is supportive of the expansionistic behaviour of the Republic, he served in the Second Punic War in Iberia, liberating the region from the barbarous Cartheginians. After the war concluded, he sought to earn his fortunes to elevate his family's standing, while also intending to bring order to the Republic by ensuring the local tribes and barbarians bow to Rome.

Name: Gaius Porcius Cato

Backstory: Hailing from a Plebian family with roots in old Latium, Gaius Porcius Cato was raised with modest means under a strict but nevertheless proud father who believed in rigid discipline for his household. Under such conditions, Gaius was quick to learn obedience; yet this was not blind acquiescence, as his father was also careful to ground that obedience in a moral system derived from traditional Roman virtues (or at least his peculiar understanding of it). In time, this would develop into a deep respect for the laws and traditions of the Roman Republic, and Gaius' military service during the Second Punic War would end up solidifying his personal belief that those traditions, and the very Republic itself, had to be actively defended in life.

Name: Marcus Decius Bellicus

Class: Plebian

Background: Hailing from one of the oldest houses of the Plebians, Marcus Decius Bellicus lived to his cognomen in the conflict in Greece for the stories of his reportedly brutal, aggressive actions leading up to the peace with Macedon. Although following in the family legacy of defending the rights of the soldiers under/around him, Marcus Decius Bellicus was also known for being more than willing to fight for the glory of the Republic at the tip of his blade or spear, casting aside thoughts of peaceful resolutions and not being contented with the peaceful settlements reached with Macedon.
He is a proconsul of Rome.

Allectus Flavius Gallus

Patrician

Allectus’ father went to great lengths to ensure his son had a well rounded education and was exposed to the realities of the world in which they live in. He was taught history, law, economics, geography, military strategy and foreign languages by the finest tutors in Rome. Allectus also accompanied his father on his business trips abroad so he would have a greater understanding of world affairs and how to conduct business. As a youth, Allectus would sit in and listen to the Senate proceedings and even observe the various assemblies gather and listen to their debates and discourses in the Field of Mars. All this created a strong sense of patriotism in him, though he had respect for other cultures, he held Roman customs and values above all else and envisioned a world where the sun does not set on the Roman Republic.
