Amendment: It is determined that submarines break the formula of cost due to small weight and advanced (for the time) technology. From here on out they will cost x 2.0 per ton costs to build and may be subject to further review. Ex. A sub under the old rules might cost 5ip. Now you could multiply it times 2.

Due to the early emergence of the revolutionary Dreadnought, Starting Immediately, all Battleships, and Battlecruisers historically built can now be built in N - 1 Year. (ie If laid down in 1907, you can now lay it down in 1906).

This does not effect other, lighter ships than those two classes.

Modern War Adjustments:

Due to the lessons of the Balkan war, and the scores of soldiers who died to waves of artillery explosions, all artillery has received a BASE COST price reduction for orders starting Jan 1 1907. The values in the recruitment page are updated to reflect this.

Airplane Rules

I do not foresee us getting to a point where we worry about the more complicated and varied aircraft of WW2, therefore rules will be relatively straightforward for our purposes.

Aircraft can be purchased per single unit. Not all nations can produce aircraft, some will have designs early, some later. Nations will have to deal with what they have to work with, and I do not intend to be looking at custom designs for aircraft. The aircraft available right now are very simple and barely useful. They can contribute reconnaissance but are not of much combat value. Zeppelins are somewhat more advanced and valuable, however are still very much in the infancy stages.

Fighter Aircraft (Six months to complete)- .5 IP
Bomber Aircraft (Six months to complete) - 1 IP
Zeppelin/Airship (Twelve months to complete) - 15 IP

You must also consider that aircraft of this era are generally built in small shops, by limited numbers of people. You simply cannot crank out a large order at the moment. Most nations entered WWI with very few aircraft. Italy had 80 airplanes by 1915. France had less than 200 aircraft at the start of WWI. USA entered WWI in 1917 with 200 aircraft. If you find yourself wanting to buy thousands of these primitive airplanes because you have IP left over, please do not do so.
